Research-based workshops on sustainability, entrepreneurship and self-awareness for universities, PhD programmes and organisations.
CONTEXT & REACH
Where are you based, and where do you deliver your workshops?
I am based in the Netherlands, where Pharus Learning is registered, and I work internationally. I deliver workshops and courses in the Netherlands, Italy and other countries, both in person and online, depending on the context and needs of the organisation.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with universities, graduate schools, PhD programmes, start-up incubators, family businesses, and organisations interested in developing research skills, entrepreneurial identity, self-awareness, and sustainable practices. Participants include Master’s and PhD students, early-stage entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals in transition.
Do you offer workshops outside business and management disciplines?
Yes. I regularly work across disciplines, including social sciences, sustainability studies, engineering, and interdisciplinary programmes. Each workshop is adapted to students’ prior knowledge, learning objectives, and institutional context.
Are your courses suitable for international and multicultural classrooms?
Absolutely. My teaching experience spans the UK, the Netherlands, and international programmes with highly diverse student cohorts. My approach is suited to Gen Z and international learning environments.
CONTENT & FORMAT
What topics do your workshops and short courses cover?
My workshops focus on:
- academic writing and research skills
- interdisciplinary collaboration and conflict management in academia
- self-awareness
- entrepreneurial identity and sustainability
- family business identity and place attachment.
All courses are highly interactive, grounded in reflective and applied learning, with a conscious use of AI.
What formats and duration do you offer?
I offer short workshops, intensive courses and modular programmes ranging from 2–3 hours to multi-day formats. Each learning experience can be adapted to fit existing courses, doctoral programmes or organisational training needs.
Are your workshops research-based or practice-oriented?
Both. My approach combines rigorous academic foundations with reflective and applied learning. This makes my courses suitable for universities, research-oriented programmes, incubators and organisations seeking depth, not just tools.
APPROACH & DIFFERENTIATION
What makes your approach different from traditional training or workshops?
My work integrates academic research, emotional intelligence and reflective practice. Rather than focusing only on tools or content, I design learning experiences that help participants develop critical thinking, self-awareness and responsible decision-making.
Do you integrate AI in your courses and workshops?
Yes. I use AI as a learning companion rather than a shortcut, helping participants develop critical judgment, ethical awareness and reflective skills. This approach is informed by my academic research and experience with AI-driven textual analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
What is your academic and professional background?
I am an academic educator and researcher with a PhD in Business Administration and Management and international teaching experience in the Netherlands, the UK and Italy. I hold the Dutch University Teaching Qualification (BKO) and the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor. My work bridges academic research, reflective learning and practice-oriented education.
How does your academic research inform your teaching?
My workshops are grounded in peer-reviewed research on sustainability, family business, entrepreneurship and organisational behaviour. I translate academic insights into practical learning experiences, combining qualitative research, emotional intelligence, and responsible use of AI to support critical thinking and decision-making.
COLLABORATION & CUSTOMISATION
Are you available for curriculum design or educational consulting?
Yes. In addition to teaching, I support universities and organisations with curriculum design, redesign, and co-creation of interdisciplinary programmes, including the integration of active learning and responsible AI use.
Do you offer fully customised workshops or programmes?
Yes. Many of my projects are co-designed with universities and organisations to address specific challenges, disciplinary contexts or student needs.
